Male patient taken to hospital after suffering stab injuries in Easton car park

A male patient has been taken to hospital after suffering stab injuries in a car park off Stapleton Road this evening (Thursday, July 25), police have confirmed.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A crowd of people gathered in Stapleton Road shortly after 8pm following the incident in the Webb Street area, during which the offender left the scene in a car.

Stapleton Road itself was partially blocked following the altercation, as police and paramedics descended on the area.

Enquiries are ongoing in the area, and an eyewitness described Avon and Somerset Constabulary officers talking to a number of people in the aftermath of the incident.

A police spokesperson said: "We were called by the ambulance service to the Webb Street area of Bristol at around 8.15pm today following a serious assault. It’s believed the assault happened in a car park off Stapleton Road, following which the offender left the scene in a car.
