A NSW Police senior constable is charged with sexually touching another person without consent. (AAP)

A Sydney police officer has been stood down from work after three women accused him of repeated sexual touching.

The 37-year-old senior constable was charged on Thursday with sexually touching another person without consent.

Internal police investigators began looking into the allegations a year ago.

Each of the women are known to the man, police said in a statement released on Friday.

The officer is due to face Downing Centre Local Court on November 26
