Malcolm Brogdon ruled out for first two games of series vs. Celtics

Giannis Antetokounmpo may be the headliner of the Milwaukee Bucks lineup, but he’s far from the only talented player of the roster.

Khris Middleton was an NBA All-Star this year. Despite what happened against the Celtics and Terry Rozier in the 2018 NBA Playoffs, Eric Bledsoe could create problems for Boston in the upcoming Eastern Conference Semifinals. Brad Stevens has mentioned Brook Lopez has the ability to clog the paint and expand the floor, as well.

There’s also Malcolm Brogdon, the third-year 6-foot-5 guard who took another step forward this season toward being a force in the NBA. He was fourth on the team in points per game (15.6) in the regular season, had the team’s second-best field goal percentage (50.5), trailing only Antetokounmpo (57.8), and led the Bucks in three-point field goal percentage (42.6) — so, Brogdon plays an important role in stretching the floor for Milwaukee.

The Bucks will be forced to start the series without him. Brogdon has been sidelined since mid-March with a minor plantar fascia tear. The Bucks hoped he would return for the series., and he still may. But not in time for Game 1 or 2, according to Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
