Malang Sarr has delighted Chelsea fans with his first words after his Stamford Bridge move was confirmed.
The 21-year-old has signed for the Blues on a five-year deal after becoming a free agent earlier this summer when his contract at Nice expired.
His signing continues a busy summer transfer window for the Blues and the French under-21 international was clearly pleased to make the move.
He posted on Instagram: "Blue is the colour! Happy and grateful to sign for Chelsea FC.
"Thanks for the love and support! Let's get to work and achieve big things together."
Whilst blue may be the colour for Sarr, it may be some time before Chelsea fans get to see him in action under Lampard.
That is because Chelsea's plan is to loan the young defender out for the coming campaign.
Whilst the destination of his loan has not been confirmed, the Blues revealed their plan for the player when announcing his signing.
The announcement said: "He will spend the 2020/21 season out on loan.
"This will provide the chance to gain valuable game time and add to his experience so he will be ready to join our squad."
Sarr has already played an impressive amount of games already for a 21-year-old, having made over 100 appearances for Nice.
After joining his local side at the age of six, Sarr made his debut aged 17 in 2016, scoring the winning goal against Rennes.
His performances led to him being named the world's fifth-most promising footballer under 20 by CIES Football Observatory in 2018.
