
Malala Yousafzai’s father couldn’t help but boast about his daughter’s impressive GCSE results, sharing them with his 12,500 Twitter followers.
Ziauddin Yousafzai said he and his wife Toor Pekai were proud of their daughter after she received her grades with thousands of other students across the country on Thursday.
And Yousafzai has every right to brag about Malala’s achievements. The blogger and campaigner survived being shot in the head by the Taliban as a child for calling for girls to have the right to an education, and went on to become one of the world’s most celebrated activists and the youngest ever recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.

On top of this, the 18-year-old, who studied at Edgbaston High School in Birmingham, emerged with six A* and 4 A grades in subjects including maths, biology, chemistry and religious studies.

A week before her 18th birthday, Malala launched a campaign urging world leaders to choose “books over bullets” by providing 12 years of free education to every girl.
