Makeup guide: Lauren Luke's colours for redheads

Take a shimmering primer and apply over the eyelid. Pat on a bright green shadow - I've chosen one from L'Oréal's Metallic Eyeshadow Duo - and blend along the crease of your eye. On your brow bone, brush on a small amount of white or cream eye shadow: apply liberally under the arch of your brow, where the light would fall. Photograph: Hong Gyoung Tae

Take a black liquid eyeliner - I love Lancôme's Laque Liner, because it's easy to apply - and work as close to the upper lash as possible. We're looking for a thin line that frames the eye. Photograph: Hong Gyoung Tae

Choose something light and shimmery for cheeks - I've used Estée Lauder's Soft Shimmer Bronzer. Take a large, soft brush and gently dust over your cheekbones, lightly across the nose, and sweep down forehead and chin for a sun-kissed glow. Photograph: Hong Gyoung Tae

To complete the look, go for a terracotta lip shade - Estée Lauder's Stay Ginger lipstick is ideal. Start with a slick of Vaseline and, using a lip brush, apply a fine coat of colour and blend in for a glossy, moisturised effect. Photograph: Hong Gyoung Tae
