Makeup artist transforms into Lewis Capaldi and Nicola Sturgeon

A make-up artist stunned Lewis Capaldi when she transformed herself into the superstar Scots singer.

Ayrshire college lecturer Alana Pignatiello, from Paisley, has been making the most of the coronavirus lockdown by turning herself into a lookalike for celebrities such as Joe Wicks, Donald Trump and even record-breaking Captain Tom Moore.

The shapeshifting makeup artist even shared snaps of herself as First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

But, as reported in the Daily Record, it’s the 38-year-old's star turn at Lewis Capaldi that has blown Twitter away, and left the Bathgate-born singer lost for words.

Lewis shared Alana’s tribute with his 1.1 million followers today, and it’s left the makeup artist rather chuffed.

The 38-year-old told the Record: “I was absolutely speechless!

“I literally had no words!”

Alana has been in the industry for 12 years but amazingly has never taken on celebrity transformations before she tackled fitness guru Joe Wicks last week.

But, now that she’s jumped on the trend, she plans to keep having a go in the future.

She added: “I am a makeup lecturer at a college and during lockdown myself, other lecturers and students were doing makeup challenges every day so as to keep students busy and focused on having something to do.

“One of my students suggested NHS inspired makeup and that was the first one that got a lot of attention.

“After that someone from the care sector asked if I would do one that represent care workers who are often forgotten. After that one me and my kids chatted about who else we could that this way so I did supermarkets workers as they are amazing working away during this and then Joe Wicks as he is helping the nation keep kids occupied for part of the day.”

“I have a wee list of things I'm going to try and do that people have suggested. I'll keep them quiet in case they are no good!”
