Make-up artist creates curly 'pube lashes' - and people are completely disgusted

Before lockdown began, many women enjoyed getting dolled up for an evening out.

They'd pick out their best dress, apply make-up and maybe even add a false set of lashes.

Since we can't currently go out anywhere though, it's not worth wasting our beauty products just to sit at home.

However some people have been getting creative during this time, practicing new looks to wear once all this is over.

But there's one look it's safe to say we won't be trying any time soon and that's curly eyelashes.

The bizarre style was created by Danish make-up artist Sofie Petersen and has gone viral because people think it looks like pubic hair.

And once you've seen the picture, you'll probably be haunted by it for the rest of your life.

Sofie first shared the look online a few years ago, but images of the disturbing eyebrows have resurfaced recently.

They were posted to the Reddit thread Cringetopia where people began referring to them as 'pube lashes'.

More than 500 people commented on the post sharing their thoughts.

One said: "My life was fine until knowing this was a thing."

People on Reddit weren't keen (Reddit)

Someone else replied: "All I have to say is, what the f**k?"

A third wrote: "My brain is breaking looking at this."

"This image hurts me. I've seen a lot of disturbing stuff and I want this out of my mind the most," added a different user.

Others thought the lashes resembled spiders, ants and barbed wire.

However Sofie wouldn't be too bothered by their criticism - in fact she would probably welcome it.

In an interview with Dazed from 2018, she explained that she wanted to illicit strong reactions.

She said: "I want people to feel something when they see my beauty looks, whether it's inspired or disgusted.

"I want to show emotions and tell stories and joke around."
