This weekend marks the 11th birthday of Make Me, the popular London party.
Back when they started in a pub basement , the nights had no particular agenda, but grew quickly in popularity. Since then, Make Me has hosted events across the city from Village Underground in Shoreditch to MOT Unit 18 in Bermondsey. On Friday night, it returns to one of its favourite spot, Corsica Studios.
The much-loved south London club, found under the railway arches in Elephant and Castle, is known for its Find Me in the Dark and Trouble Vision nights. It's also loved for its killer sound system and invariably electric atmosphere.
Make Me is well known for programming a diverse range of artists. This night will be spread over three rooms, with something for everyone.
Head to room one for an a mix of electro and house, with a DMX Krew live set as well as appearances from Berlin’s KRN and Vladimir Ivkovic.
Room two will have a more rowdy tech-house feel, with Pearson Sound, DjRUM and Rough Draft.
Expect deep hypnotic techno in the Columbian, where Belgian DJ Peter Van Hoesen will play alongside Jane Fitz and Lukas Wigflex. Residents Rubin, Rupes, Nic Baird and Kit Seymour finishing up the night.
If you finish up at 8am and are still left wanting more, part two of the birthday celebrations will happen on April 20 at MOT Unit 18. Objekt will headline, supported by Covco and the Make Me residents.
