We all have to work with more data than ever before. But it’s often hard to turn that data into something interesting and engaging, especially when time is short.
In this hands-on interactive workshop, you will learn how to effectively create infographics that are both memorable and tell the story that you want to convey.
In the first part of this workshop, you will learn how to identify stories from data - either from your own, or from the sample data set provided. You will begin to sketch your story and think how best to present this visually. In the second half, you will then make it using the free tools and resources provided, and will learn where and when to add interactivity to enhance your design.
This masterclass will equip you with real practical experience, and will allow you to become more confident in creating your own interactive infographics, under the expert guidance of Tobias Sturt and Adam Frost, former heads of the Guardian’s digital agency.
