'Make it happen' - Liverpool fans issue transfer demand after £40m man shines again

Liverpool fans were left with a clear transfer demand after watching Jarrod Bowen’s latest performance for West Ham.

The Hammers reasserted their push for a top four spot with an emphatic 4-1 away win at Watford to put the club within four points of a Champions League spot..

Bowen was at the heart of West Ham’s victory, providing two assists, as David Moyes’ side moved up to fifth place.

Having previously been linked with the winger, the 25-year-old’s latest display convinced many Liverpool fans of his quality ahead of the January transfer window.

The former Hull City forward emerged as one of several players being monitored by the Reds during the summer.

A virtual ever-present for West Ham so far this term, Bowen has almost equalled his goal and assists tally from the last campaign at the midway point of the current season.

Bowen has scored three league goals and registered eight assists in 19 games so far, compared to his previous combined total of 13 last term. Reports have suggested a fee of around £40m may tempt West Ham into business.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp spoke about his admiration for Bowen earlier this year, prior to the Reds’ meeting with the Hammers in November.

"It is good fun watching [West Ham]," Klop said "They became a high, high intensity team, and you can only become that when you are on the front foot. That's what they are.

"When you want to finish off the situations off, you need top strikers and that's what they obviously have.

"I like Bowen a lot. He made his way up from Hull and took not too long to show exactly what kind of player he can be in the Premier League. He made big steps.
