Speculation linking defender Joe Worrall with a move away from Nottingham Forest continues to rage.
Burnley have been heavily linked with the highly-rated centre-back, but there seems to be a difference between what fee the Reds would accept and what the Premier League club are prepared to pay.
According to Daily Mail, Forest have slapped a £12million price tag on Worrall, which is said to be double what Burnley’s value for the player is.
Reds fans have given their reaction to the story on Nottingham Live. Here’s a sample of views.
1898NFFC: Last season has gone, it's this season that we are talking about and we cannot afford to lose Worrall judging by Figs’ performance on Saturday. I think that it's him who needs a break. Get Blackett in alongside Worrall and bring Ribeiro back to left back!! Round pegs for round holes please Sabri - don't repeat last season’s mistakes at Millwall and Wigan!!
Cheeks: Make it clear to Burnley that any offers below £12m won't even receive the courtesy of a response, then they'll only be wasting their own time when they bid £5m or £6m. Mind you, if this is what Championship players cost, no wonder we can't get anyone decent.
Cloughtown1980: Evangelos should offer 4million for Chris Wood and see what response he gets from Sean Dyche. His answer should be the same. What’s the Greek word for ‘do one Burnley’ or something very close to that? Really hope we do not need to sell.
Fulwoodred: Unfortunately Soh is far more likely to partner Figs with Worrall sold. Do hope the stories that Sabri is under pressure are just journalist speculation but if they aren’t, Howe or Hughton would be standout candidates. However, let’s give Sabri at least 10 games.
Meanwhile, Burnley fan Matty Ormerod took to Twitter comment on the story and believes his club should look elsewhere, saying: “If Forest want 12million for Joe Worrall, why are we even still interested? He’s never worth 12million. Move on or give Dunne/Thomas a chance in the first team.
