'Make him captain'- Arsenal fans loved what Dani Ceballos did before coming on against Tottenham

Dani Ceballos was left on the bench for the north London derby, but came on as a second half substitute to help Arsenal complete a memorable comeback from two goals down.

The Spaniard, who is on a season-long loan from Real Madrid, started against Liverpool the weekend before but was benched by boss Unai Emery who preferred a midfield trio of Granit Xhaka, Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira against Tottenham.

Ceballos was eventually introduced in the 63rd minute of the clash to replace Torreira, and was influential in Arsenal's domination of the second 45 minutes. Alexandre Lacazette had already struck before half time to reduce the deficit, before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang completed the comeback, poking in Guendouzi's curled pass.

After the game, Arsenal posted a video of Ceballos quite literally on the edge of his seat and appearing to show signs of nerves while watched proceedings in the first half.

The Gunners don't have an option to turn Ceballos' stay in north London into a permanent one, but fans took to social media to hail the midfielder's passion for the club and urged the club to sign him next summer when his loan expires.

The 23-year-old has already proved a big hit with supporters in north London, who believe he can become a crucial figure of Emery's new-look side.
