Make bath time an adventure with Lush x One Piece

Lush x One Piece collection.

A bite of a devil fruit gives One Piece characters a certain special power or ability, which weakens when in contact with water.

Nevertheless, one can enjoy soaking in a tub with Lush's fizzing bath bombs shaped like the mysterious fruits from the Japanese anime.

The Lush x One Piece collection features four fruity bath bombs, a reusable bubble bar as well as a limited-edition knot wrap made from PET plastic bottles. This is an initial step into creating new experiences for Lush's customers and fanbase through licensing collaborations.

The British beauty brand was founded in 1995 while One Piece, written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda, first appeared in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump in 1997.

The story of action and adventure centres on Monkey D Luffy and his Straw Hat Crew, who are determined to find the legendary treasure One Piece left behind by the Pirate King.

Referencing Luffy's quote "I smell adventure", the campaign whimsically asks: Can you smell adventure?

Lush's handmade bath bombs arouse sensorial pleasure through the aroma of essential oils besides the explosion of colours.

The purple Gum-Gum Fruit bath bomb delivers an invigorating scent of blackcurrant and apricot as well as fresh sweet orange and calming Davana oils. Luffy is said to have eaten the Gum-Gum fruit, which makes his body stretchy like rubber.

During his childhood, he made a brotherhood pledge with Sabo and Portgas D Ace. Eating the Flame-Flame fruit, the latter could manipulate fire, and his signature attack with burning fists earned him the nickname "Fire Fist Ace".

With notes of citrus oils and fenugreek absolute, the Flame-Flame Fruit bath bomb spreads out in fiery orange hues while the popping candy cracks like fireworks.

Geranium oil along with Damask rose and jasmine absolutes give the Flower-Flower Fruit bath bomb a floral fragrance. Its pink foam floats on the water in the same way flowers bloom and flutter away, when archaeologist Nico Robin uses the special ability she gained as a child after consuming the Flower-Flower Fruit.

Like Robin, Tony Tony Chopper is a Straw Hat Crew member. The sweet tooth ship doctor is also known as Cotton Candy Lover. The Human-Human fruit changed the appearance of the adorable blue-nosed reindeer, giving him human characteristics.

Lush designed the mushroom shaped Human-Human Fruit bath bomb into two parts for a marble of red and white across the water. Bergamot oil along with tonka and cocoa absolutes give an uplifting scent.

Waving the reusable bubble bar, recalling Luffy's straw hat, through the running bath water creates mounds of bubbles, accompanied by the smell of adventure, rendered by cedarwood and mandarin orange oils as well as benzoin resinoid.
