Majority of QB Sean Mannion’s visit with Vikings will take place Monday

Former Rams quarterback Sean Mannion has been linked to the Vikings throughout the offseason, especially after Trevor Siemian signed with the Jets.

Mannion arrived in the Twin Cities on Sunday, per Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press. His free-agent visit will take place on Monday.

If the Vikings do sign Mannion, he will compete with Kyle Sloter for the backup spot to Kirk Cousins.

Sloter has already said that he believes he’s ready for the job.

Mannion’s resume doesn’t jump out at you.

The 2015 third-round pick out of Oregon State has appeared in 10 games and started one. His start came in 2017 when he threw for 185 yards in a loss.

Stay tuned if the Vikings and Mannion finalize a deal.
