Work to make a number of changes on Western Boulevard - one of Nottingham's busiest roads - is now underway.
Nottingham City Council confirmed work started on the road on Friday June 12, between Newport Drive and the A610 - and will last for nearly a month.
The works being done include the widening and strengthening of the footway, verge repairs, creating off-carriageway parking bays, improvements to vehicle access points and changes to bus stops.
There is a rolling lane closure in place from 8am to 4pm each day with a number of traffic cones and signs set up in the area.
The works are expected to last until July 10.
The city council said minor delays were expected as a result of the works.
More cars are now expected on the road after non-essential retailers reopened and lockdown gradually eased across England.
