Major update to Stanley Dock Tobacco Warehouse development used for Peaky Blinders backdrop as first luxury flats hit market

Luxury flats at a famous Liverpool landmark are going on sale as the £130m restoration project continues.

The Stanley Dock Tobacco Warehouse that served as a backdrop to scenes in BBC drama Peaky Blinders will become hundreds of homes, and the first batch are heading to market.

Solicitors Jackson Leeds Group has announced it is to advise developers Stanley Dock Properties Ltd on the sale of the first 200 units, all set to be completed this year. Some homes at the Grade II-listed building will be ready for occupation in the first half, the developer added.

Prices will start at £215,000, with the average apartment size approximately 1,400 sq. ft.

This is roughly double the size of a standard apartment on the market, the Liverpool Echo reports .

The warehouse’s original architectural details have also been preserved, including exposed brick walls, cast-iron structural columns, concrete ceiling beams and a unique two-floor layout, reminiscent of New York ‘loft living’.

Amenities include a 24-hour concierge, secure parking, an inner courtyard garden, residents’ lounge and a stunning entrance lobby.

The ground floor will feature up to 100,000 sq. ft of retail and commercial space for shops, restaurants and offices.

Plans have also been revealed to create a pedestrian walkway encircling Stanley Dock which will be open to residents and guests.

The luxurious apartments will also benefit from dual aspect views overlooking Liverpool's UNESCO world heritage waterfront and a central courtyard.
