Major train disruption across Glasgow after electricity supply failure

Rail users are facing major disruption across Glasgow today following an electricity supply failure.

A number of trains have been affected by the incident, including services between Edinburgh and Milngavie, via Airdrie and between Helensburgh Central and Edinburgh.

ScotRail have said that disruption are expected to continue until 5pm.

A number of local buses are accepting rail tickets at no extra cost.

A statement from ScotRail reads: "Our staff have been on site and have advised that the power failed again. Our staff are on-site and continue investigations.

"To help you complete your journey you can use your ScotRail ticket or Smartcard on the following local buses, at no extra cost."
