POLICE are searching for a 15-year-old who went missing while paddle boarding in a loch in Fife.
Emergency services were called to Lochore Meadows, Lochgelly, at around 5.25pm on Saturday after receiving a report of concern for a 15-year-old boy who had been paddle boarding.
Police confirmed that the emergency services, including the Coastguard, have remained in the area and that extensive searches are still being carried out.
People have been asked to avoid the area if possible, and enquiries are still ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.25pm on Saturday, 28 June, 2025 we were called to Lochore Meadows, Lochgelly after receiving a report of concern for a 15-year-old male youth who had been paddle boarding.
“Emergency services, including the Coastguard, remain in the area today and extensive searches are being carried out.
“Enquiries are ongoing and we would ask people to please avoid the area if possible.”
