Major search for young Scots boys who vanished after being dropped off at school

A major search has been launched after two young boys vanished after being dropped off at school in Midlothian.

Michael and James (Jamie) O’Brien, aged 9 and 6 respectively, were dropped off for class on Carnethie Street, Rosewell around 8am this morning, Thursday November 21.

But police search teams, including dog units, are now looking for the youngsters after they failed to enter the school.

Police Scotland are appealing for information to anyone who may be able to help locate the boys .

Jamie has blond hair, slight in build, wearing a dark coloured coat and carrying a Fornite bag.

Michael has brown hair, is also slight in build and was wearing a dark coloured coat.

Both are wearing their blue school jumpers.

If anyone has seen or has any information as to their whereabouts, please contact officers at Dalkeith Police Station via 101, quoting incident number 0611 of 21 November 2019.
