Police have launched a major search for a missing Scots pensioner who vanished six days ago.
David Fletcher from Giffnock, East Renfrewshire was last seen in Glasgow City Centre on the evening of Thursday, December 9.
The 71-year-old was reported missing by loved ones, who contacted officers on Tuesday concerned that they hadn't heard from him in a few days.
He is described as white, around five foot, four inches tall with short, grey hair.
When last seen, David was wearing a dark-coloured overcoat and a flat cap.
Police say it is unusual for him to not keep in regular contact with family and friends.
Greater Glasgow Police Division are urging anyone who has seen David or who has information on his whereabouts to get in touch.
Inspector Shirley Carr said: “David is known to frequent the Giffnock area and Glasgow City Centre.
“It is extremely unusual for him not to keep in regular contact with his family and friends and he was reported missing yesterday after they became concerned when they could not get a hold of him and had not seen him for a few days.
“Officers are currently carrying out enquiries to trace him as soon as possible to ensure that he is safe and well.
"Anyone who has seen David, or who has any information on his whereabouts should contact officers through 101 quoting reference 1285 of December 14.”
