Police have found a little girl who went missing for more than eight hours after she was last seen wandering the streets alone at 5am this morning.
The little girl was walking the streets of Castlewellan in Northern Ireland alone, sparking a major search by police.
Police were called to the scene but couldn't find the little girl. They released a CCTV image of her in hopes someone who has information would forward, BelfastLive reports.
This afternoon they shared the happy update that the girl had been found "safe and well".
Temporary Chief Inspector Adam Corner said: “The young girl has been located safe and well. We would like to thank Community Search and Rescue and the public for their help and support in locating this child.”
CCTV footage showed a child wearing a distinctive lilac coat with a fur trim around the hood, a pink dress, pink leggings and short ankle boots.
In the footage, the police say she was walking near a park entrance but doesn't appear to go into the park.
Search and rescue teams were deployed in the area as their search lasted more than eight hours.
Mr Corner previously said: "A search operation is currently is underway.
