Major Scots road closed as emergency crews race to A90 after rush hour crash

A major Scots road has been closed to drivers as emergency crews race to the scene of a rush hour crash.

The A90 in the north-east is closed northbound at the junction with the the A92 near Balmeddie, just outside Aberdeen.

Emergency services were called to the incident near the Trump International golf course just before 4pm.

Police are directing traffic off the carriageway at Blackdog.

It is unclear at this time how many vehicles are involved or if there are serious injuries at the crash.

A statement from Traffic Scotland read: "A90 CLOSED. No entry

"The A90 is CLOSED northbound after Balmedie due to an RTC.

"Emergency services are on scene.

"Police are directing traffic off the carriageway at Blackdog."

A statement from North-east police division read: "The A90 is currently closed northbound at the Junction with the A92 near Balmeddie, due to an ongoing RTC, a diversion is in place."
