Major roundabout on Dumbarton Road closed as police respond to crash

A major roundabout on Dumbarton Road has been closed as police respond to a crash.

Glasgow City Council's Traffic Control and Management team (TRAFFCOM) confirmed the incident, at 12pm today.

They say: "Emergency services are currently attending an accident on the roundabout near Broomhill Drive at Dumbarton Road.

"As a consequence road users are being diverted away from the accident and delays should be expected on approaching routes."

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Police were called at around 11.35am on Wednesday, November 27 following reports of a car colliding with a tree.

"The driver has been taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital but his injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

"The slip road from the Clydeside Expressway to Broomhill roundabout remains has been closed while emergency service remain on the scene.

"Drivers are advised to find alternative routes."
