Major roadworks to take place across Nottingham until April

A major roadworks scheme is set to take place in Nottingham over the coming months.

Western Power Distribution will be undertaking a major reinforcement scheme on various roads in the city.

Derby Road will see works from January to March with lane closures and temporary traffic lights. Triumph Road, Lenton, will have road closures over six weekends until April.

Wollaton Road and Wollaton Hall Drive will also have roadworks from January through to March.

They said "moderate delays are expected" for drivers.

The works are set to start on Tuesday, January 26 and will run until Friday, April 23.

Below are the works set to take place:

· Derby Road – Works start January 26 2021 to March 31 2021.

Service Road closed only from Wollaton Hall Drive to O/S number 552. Main carriageway not closed at any time. Lane closures and Temporary signals to be used at various times

· Wollaton Road – Works start January 26 2021 to February 15 2021.

Lane closure from the junction with Faraday Road to Triumph Road.

· Triumph Road – Works starts January 30 2021 to April 8 2021.

Road closures over six weekends from January 30 2021 and temporary signals used at all other times.

· Canterbury Road – Works start February 1 2021 to February 12 2021.

There will be some carriageway narrowing at the junction of Wollaton Road.

· Kenyon Road – Works start February 18 2021 to February 23 2021.

Some carriageway narrowing at the junction of Derby Road.

· Wollaton Hall Drive – Works start 5 th March 2021 to 12 th March 2021.

Road closure will be in place at the junction of Derby Road.

· North Road 1 – Works start March 26 2021 to April 16 2021.

Two-way signals will be in operation, at the junction with Derby Road outside the Queen’s Medical Centre.

· North Road 2 – Works start March 31 2021 to April 23 2021.

Two-way signals will be in place outside the Queen’s Medical Centre on the private road.
