A MAJOR road has been closed due to an incident, and emergency services have raced to the scene.
The A8 has been closed eastbound after the Bargeddie Roundabout due to the incident, which occurred around 2:40pm.
It's unclear what has caused the closure at this time, but Traffic Scotland has confirmed that emergency services are at the scene.
In a post on social media, they said: "A8 CLOSED eastbound after the Bargeddie Roundabout.
"Emergency services are at the scene.
"Please continue to take care travelling in the area.
"Updates to follow."
