Drug driving arrest after Switch Island crash
A man has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving after a crash this morning.

Emergency services were called to Switch Island, at 8.40am on Thursday, January 27 after a crash involving three vehicles.
Police report a Ford Transit van, an Audi car and MG car were involved in the accident.
Firefighters carried out a full roof removal to release a person trapped inside one of the cars.

Tributes flood in for former police officer stabbed in his home
Tributes have poured in after a man found with stab wounds in his own home tragically died.
Andrew McDiarmid, 64, who served for 30 years with Merseyside Police, was found with serious head injuries at his home on Oldfield Way in Wirral on Monday, January 24.
Those who knew Andrew, known to friends as Andy, have described him as a 'loving man’ as they shared emotional tributes on social media following his death.
Many tributes have been left on the ECHO Facebook page, where people said they have been left 'heartbroken' by the news.

Woman, 23, feared club would 'clear out' after birthday dress disaster

An online shopper left her friends in hysterics after she had a revealing fashion disaster.
Chloe Maguire thought she'd ordered a perfect new birthday dress from Oh Polly - but was left "shocked" after she twirled in front of the mirror.
She said: "If I wore that out everyone probably would have had a heart attack, the club would have cleared out."
