Major road closure ahead for Notts town as Christmas nears

Drivers in Arnold are being warned of a road closure.

The temporary road closure will take place from noon on Friday, December 3, 2021, until 8pm on the same day to make way for the annual Arnold Christmas Lights switch on.

Restrictions will including Blue Badge Holders.

Roads closures due to the event include the pedestrianised area of Front Street between its junctions with Front Street/Worrall Avenue and High Street, as well as Front Street, between its junctions with Worrall Avenue and Croft Road/Ravenswood Road.

Worrall Avenue, between its junctions with Derby Street and Front Street in Arnold will also be closed for the light switch on.

Arnold Christmas Lights will be switched on between 5.30pm and 6.30pm by the Mayor of Gedling.

This year the event has been moved from Eagle Square to outside Arnold Methodist Church next to the new Arnold Market Place development.
