Major road closed by emergency services after car flips on its roof

A main road was closed by emergency services after a car flipped on its roof.

Police were called to Walton Breck Road near Everton Valley in Anfield, at around 8.10am on Tuesday, January 19, to reports of a crash.

The one vehicle RTC involved a Renault Clio which flipped on its roof with the driver and one passenger inside.

The road was closed in both directions for hours after the crash and people were asked to avoid the area.

A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said no one was believed to be seriously injured during the incident.

The road has since been reopened.

A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: "We were called to Walton Breck Road near Everton Valley at 8.10am.

"A Renault Clio had turned on its roof. There were two passengers in the car - the driver and one passenger.

"They are not believed to be serious injured."
