Major road closed after van smashes into wall near junction

A main road was closed by police after two cars smashed into a wall.

Emergency services were called to the crash on Princes Road in Toxteth at around 10am this morning, October 12.

The crash, which involved a blue Mercedes and a white van, happened near to the junction with Upper Warwick Street.

Merseyside Police said both drivers suffered from facial injuries.

Photos taken at the scene show the blue Mercedes with a badly damaged bonnet and a white van across the pavement after crashing into a wall.

Police closed the road near to the junction with Upper Warwick Street while emergency services responded to the incident.

It has since been reopened.
