A major road is partially blocked after a crash on an M6 motorway roundabout.
The A49, Warrington Road, is partially blocked after an accident at Bryn Interchange on the roundabout, according to travel service Inrix.
There are warnings of heavy traffic in the area and local police are at the scene to deal with the incident, which began at around 7.45am.
The crash is also affecting traffic heading between Wigan and Ashton-in-Makerfield.
North West Motorway Police tweeted: "Local officers are dealing with an RTC on Warrington Road, Wigan where it meets J25, M6.
"There is the potential for disruption on the slip road. MC21 and Highways England making to assist with any congestion issues."
