A major rail industry event which attracts exhibitors from all over world is set to return to Derby.
Last summer, the inaugural Rolling Stock Networking event took place at Derby Arena, attracting 1,200 visitors and more than 130 exhibitors.
This year, the event will return to Derby, which has one of the largest concentrations of rail companies in the world.
With a focus on rail companies in the Midlands, the 2020 event, which is due to take place at Derby Arena on July 2, will be bigger than last year, with around 150 exhibitors.
More than 100 companies have already booked space, around a quarter of whom are members of the Derby-based rail trade association, Rail Forum Midlands.
And there will be a strong international contingent, with exhibitors from Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Canada, Spain, Switzerland and India.
As well as an exhibition, the event also features a conference where delegates will hear from leading industry speakers.
A series of seminars, conducted by Derby company AEGIS, will also take place, which will explain how companies can break into and trade in the rail industry.
In a statement, Rolling Stock Networking said: “Derby has always been a city steeped in railway heritage and is widely considered to be the technical and manufacturing centre of the UK rail industry.
“The railway industry is a major growth area with new franchises, trains and HS2 all being catalysts for inward investment.”
