Major progress is being made on the construction of a new McDonald's drive-thru restaurant in Nottinghamshire.
Most of the exterior building for the new outlet, off Oakleaf Close in Mansfield, has been built by developers while the famous golden arches have also been installed.
It comes as the fast food giant edges closer to its planned opening date of Spring 2021, with recruitment for the new restaurant starting at the beginning of the year.
Once complete, the restaurant will feature a drive-thru, outdoor seating and a play area.
It is located between the Aldi supermarket and MKM Builder's Merchants, off Southwell Road West and close to Rainworth.
Speaking last year, a McDonald's spokesperson said: "We are pleased to be progressing with the works on this restaurant and our ambition is to open next year."
Signs next to the site now display opening plans for Spring 2021, but the company is yet to issue an official opening date.
When the plans were initially unveiled by the company in 2019, the company added: "We are pleased to be working with a developer on our application for a new drive-thru restaurant in Sherwood Oaks Business Park in Mansfield, which would create at least 65 full and part-time jobs in the area and bring significant investment to the local community."
The news comes just weeks after plans were lodged to build a drive-thru Taco Bell outlet next to the KFC restaurant in Forest Town.
Mexican-inspired Taco Bell is also set to open a branch at the new Stockwell Gateway development in the town centre, alongside Canadian chain Tim Hortons and Domino's Pizza.
