Micky Gray has admitted his concern that problems at Sunderland are far from over as they head into the League One play-offs in terrible form.
The Black Cats have endured some terrible recent years and were relegated twice in consecutive seasons to play this term in League One - only the second time ever they've played as low as England's third tier.
But the club's problems appeared to be over when former owner Ellis Short cleared the debts and sold up to Stewart Donald last summer. And with Jack Ross' side performing well on the pitch things were looking far rosier on the pitch.
However, dreadful form in April saw Sunderland win just one of their last seven. They missed out on automatic promotion on Tuesday after losing at Fleetwood and then dropped to fifth on the final day after a second consecutive loss, this time away at Southend.
It leaves Sunderland preparing for a play-off semi-final with Portsmouth in dreadful form, and club legend Gray is concerned.
Following the Southend defeat he took to Twitter and said: "Do we win the playoffs in this form? I’m not convinced.
"Where does this leave our great club? Too many draws and too many mistakes. We should have been out of sight in this league.
"Face facts, we still have major problems. Hope I’m wrong."
