Major Oktoberfest celebration is coming to Glasgow city centre this autumn

On your marks, beer fans - this could be the ultimate food and drink event this autumn.

Innis & Gunn is offering a “fresh take” on the traditional Oktoberfest celebration in Glasgow with a brand new beer fest.

The brewer will be hosting a three-day event in the city centre over the first weekend in October.

The celebration of all things Bavarian and beer starts on October 1, with Innis & Gunn setting up the mammoth event at Platform.

That the city centre venue will be transformed into a huge Bavarian beer hall with traditional music, food and - of course - foamy stuff by the stein-load until Sunday, October 3.

Currywurst and Vegan Bratwurst platters will be served with all the trimmings, as well as homemade sauces and fries.

Time to strap on the lederhosen and dirndl skirts, then - tickets are on sale now for £12, and include one-pint stein of Innis & Gunn Tank Lager per head. There is also the option to book food in advance.

Organisers said: "Oktoberfresh will centre around Innis & Gunn’s Tank Lager, the freshest version of the brewer’s multi-award-winning Lager Beer, named Scotland’s Best Lager at the most recent Scottish Beer Awards.

"Innis & Gunn is the biggest supplier of Tank Lager in Scotland, which gets its name as the beer is served from giant tanks which have been delivered straight from the brewery, ensuring the freshest possible pint.

"Attendees will be able to enjoy steins of Innis & Gunn’s Tank Lager which will be brewed specifically ahead of each session and delivered straight to Platform from the brewery."

Dates and Times:

Friday 1^st October – 7-11pm

Saturday 2^nd October – 2-6pm and 8pm-midnight

Sunday 3^rd October – 2-6pm
