WhatsApp makes changes fairly often and they can be a bit of a pain to get used to, but their latest update is one some users will be unhappy about.
The new update appears to stop users screenshotting their private conversations.
According to WABetaInfo , the new feature is part of the latest security and privacy changes.
After the update is released, if users change their settings to a new higher security setting then they'll need to use their fingerprint to open WhatsApp.
WABetaInfo says: "In this beta update we find a new improvements for the Authentication feature (that’s not available yet).
"When the Authentication feature will be enabled, your fingerprint is obviously required to open WhatsApp, but conversation screenshots are blocked.

"It means you won’t be longer able to screenshot your chats if you enable that feature."
A message will appear in the beta WhatsApp version when fingerprint security is switched on.

The alert said: 'Fingerprint security - When enabled, fingerprint is required to open WhatsApp and conversation screenshots are blocked.
'You can still reply to messages from notifications and answer calls if WhatsApp is locked.'
In January, WhatsApp announced that it was going to limit the number of times a message can be forwarded on in an attempt to stop false information spreading on the platform.
This will mean users can only forward any single message up to five times, compared to the previous 20.
