One of Merseyside's busiest roads is set to partially close next week.
Cadent, the company which manages Merseyside’s gas network, say the closure of part of Dunnings Bridge Road will allow engineers to fix a gas main.
The issue is said to have been caused during work by another utility firm earlier this year.

From Monday, July 5, between 9am and 4pm each day, the three lanes of Dunnings Bridge Road will be reduced to one lane on the approach to Copy Lane.
All work will take place close to the junction with Copy Lane, in the lanes heading towards Switch Island only.
Outside these times, two lanes will be open. There will also be no left turn from Dunnings Bridge Road into Copy Lane, as the teams are working very close to this junction.
A diversion will be signposted.
Earlier this year, engineers from Cadent carried out a temporary fix after this pipe was damaged, but this was only a short-term solution.
Work to carry out the permanent repair will begin after the morning rush-hour on July 5.
All lanes should reopen by July 11.
Nick Jerman, Cadent’s Customer Operations Area Manager for Merseyside, told the ECHO : “When we found out that another utility had damaged our pipe we moved in quickly to apply a temporary repair.
“While it’s a safe way to provide a short-term solution, it can only ever be temporary. We have to move back now to make it safe long-term, which involves more extensive work under the carriageway.
“We appreciate this isn’t ideal, not least given how busy this road is.
“We’ve agreed with Sefton Council to work only between 9am and 4pm, so that two of the three lanes can be open at busiest times.”
Anyone who smells gas, local to this work or anywhere, is advised to call 0800 111 999 immediately, day or night.
People are not to assume it’s related to this work as it may not be and needs to be checked.
