A major road was closed in both directions after a woman was seriously hurt in a crash.
Merseyside Police rushed to Lodge Lane at around 3.05pm on Thursday, October 6, following reports of a crash. Once at the scene, officers found a black Ford Fiesta and a white Peugeot 108 had crashed at the junction of Lime Grove.
Police closed the road in both directions as emergency services, including the North West Ambulance Service, responded to the incident. One woman was hurt in the crash, with the ECHO understanding her injuries are serious but not life-threatening.

The road will remain closed until recovery vehicles arrive at the scene.
