A major investigation has been launched after two people were found dead at a property in Aberdeenshire.
Police were called to the scene at a holiday cottage in the Rickarton area, west of Stonehaven around 1.30pm on Wednesday December 5.
Emergency services locked down the property and are believed to have stayed there throughout the night.
The ages of the two adults found are not known at this time.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland told the Press and Journal : “Police were called to a property in the Rickarton area near Stonehaven after receiving a report about the deaths of two adults.
“Police were informed at around 1.30pm and inquires to establish the full circumstances are at an early stage.”
