Major high street stores and supermarkets that are closed on Boxing Day

While Boxing Day sales have long been a tradition and at one point gave high street shops one of the busiest days of the year, many retailers have decided to opt out this year.

Choosing instead to give staff a break and more time to spend with their loved ones, some of the biggest high street stores will remain closed this year.

John Lewis , Homebase and Aldi are among the stores which will remain closed until Friday, December 27.

Below, we've provided a round-up of the retailer who have so far confirmed they'll be closed - we'll update this as and when we get any updates from other stores too.
