Emergency services have deployed to a block of flats after a fire broke out on the eighth floor. An air ambulance has been seen landing near the scene in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.
Smoke has been seen coming out of one of the top floor flats, Stoke-on-Trent Live reports. The major incident is located in the flats off Bucknall Old Road.
Footage has shown the air ambulance landing near Old Hall Street and firefighters using an aerial ladder platform to tackle the blaze. Live updates are here on Stoke-on-Trent live.
It is understood from witnesses that the blaze started at around 7.10am this morning. We will bring you more information when we get it.
