In scenes airing this week, viewers will see Al Chapman, played by Michael Wildman, make a power-play for the legendary soap pub. Paddy Dingle, played by Dominic Brunt, is very suspicious of his intentions but he’s blackmailed by Al.
Viewers are aware that Al knows Paddy was recently involved in illegal horse doping. He threatens to expose the secret unless Paddy helps him to win over Chas and Marlon.
Paddy is confused about why Al is so keen to be involved in a struggling country pub - suspecting there's much more to it.
However, he’s faced with no choice to encourage Chas and Marlon to accept Al’s offer to buy into the pub.
