Major emergency services response on Liverpool road after car lands on roof

Ambulance and police were called to a major Liverpool road after a car flipped on to its roof.

A red Audi was pictured on its roof following a crash on Walton Hall Avenue earlier today.

Officers at the scene say the driver in the car was able to walk away from the crash.

A Merseyside police spokesperson confirmed that four vehicles were involved in the crash but no one was seriously hurt.

Officers said no offences were committed and they have not made any arrests in relation to the incident.

Those involved were described as "walking wounded" with "no serious injuries" by police, with one person sent to hospital to get checked over.

The crash sparked a large emergency service presence to close off the road to incoming traffic.

Images from the scene show up to four police vehicles and two ambulances in attendance.
