A glider came down on a North Wales hill popular with walkers.

Officers assisted with the recovery of the glider, and the occupants suffered no injuries as it came down.

The glider landed in some heather by Moel Famau and didn't appear to have been too badly damaged.

While they dealt with the incident, police asked visitors to avoid the Moel Famau area.

The A494 (Mold to Ruthin road) towards Moel Famau was also closed along with the car parks at the popular spot.

Emergency services are in the process of recovering the glider and the A494 has now re-opened.

Located around an hour from Liverpool, Moel Famau is the highest hill within the Clwydian Range and is a hugely popular trail.
