Major electricity fault leaves over 3,000 homes without ESB in Swords, North Dublin

Over 3,000 homes are without electricity today after a major fault in North Dublin.

ESB workers are currently on the job after the power went in 3,036 houses in the Glasmore area by Swords.

It's been lights out for locals since around 12.30pm today while it's expected to be fixed around 4.15pm.

ESB said: "We apologise for the loss of supply. We are currently working to repair a fault affecting your premises and will restore power as quickly as possible."
