ScotRail has been forced to divert its busiest train service to Edinburgh this morning after a person was struck by a train on the line between Lenzie and Bishopbriggs.
Services between Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Queen Street are being diverted via Cumbernauld due to emergency services attending an incident on a different line.

Emergency services are currently attendance on the line between Lenzie and Bishopbriggs, as a person has been struck by a train.
The alarm was raised around 7.59am after reports of a casualty on the tracks between Lenzie and Bishopbriggs.
The person was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigations are now underway to identify the body and establish the full circumstances of the death.
Posting on their Twitter, ScotRail has said that: "NEW: Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident between Lenzie and Bishopbriggs, the line is closed.
"Services between Edinburgh and Glasgow via Falkirk High will be diverted via Cumbernauld."
They also added onto this tweet in an update thread, stating: "If you're travelling between Edinburgh and Glasgow, you may wish to travel via Shotts / Airdrie & Bathgate."
It has also been reported that disruption on the Edinburgh line is set to last until midday today.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to the line near Bishopbriggs at 7.59am this morning following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended and sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Officers are currently working to identify the deceased and establish the full circumstances behind their death."
