Major east end crash sees two rushed to hospital and road closed

A major crash on an east end road has caused two people to be rushed to hospital.

The collision took place on Carntyne Road at about 2.50pm today and involved a car and a motorcycle.

Carntyne Road, between Glencorse Street and Rigby Street, currently remains closed as a result.

Two people were taken to a Glasgow hospital for treatment and their conditions are currently unknown.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a crash between a car and a motorbike on Carntyne Road at around 2.50pm on Friday, 29 July, 2022.

“Emergency services attended and two people were taken to hospital.”
