A broken-down LNER train between Linlithgow and Edinburgh Park is causing major disruption on the railway this morning.

ScotRail have announced that a host of trains have been cancelled, and a number of others revised, due to the problem, which was encountered around 6.15am.

This is causing significant disruption to those heading into work on Friday morning, and it is not yet known when the problem will be resolved.

Services between Edinburgh and Glasgow via Falkirk High and Cumbernauld are affected along with trains between Dunblane and Edinburgh.
