Motorists are being warned about lengthy eastbound delays on Edinburgh City Bypass this afternoon after a road traffic accident blocked a lane on approach to Sheriffhall Roundabout.
A photo shows the two vehicles that collided blocking the outside lane with traffic backed up for over a mile and struggling to pass.
Both lanes were then closed temporarily while police and emergency services dealt with the collision.
The vehicles has now been moved, but there has been a knock-on effect and traffic in the area will remain slow for some time.
