A bizarre bend has appeared in the Spire on O’Connell Street.
The Dublin Chamber said dozens of local businesses and citizens have contacted them to report the wonky sighting.
It believes the bend in the Spire may be the result of the very strong north-westerly winds which have battered the city over the winter months.
Architectural experts, contacted by Dublin Chamber, also believe a heavier than normal light bulb placed on the top of the Spire at the end of last summer may be causing it to buckle.
Some locals are already referring to the structure as The Leaning Tower of Dublin, the Chamber said.

Spokesman Graeme McQueen added: “When businesses first started calling us about a bend in the Spire, we wondered whether it was a joke. Having examined it last week we can clearly see it is starting to bend.
“Dublin is expected to have one of its best ever summers for tourism this year, so it is vitally important any twist is corrected as soon as possible.
“The last thing Dublin needs is for tourists to go home with pictures of the ‘wonky’ Spire to show their friends and relatives abroad. This would make us look like fools.”
The Chamber has called for an emergency response group to be assembled urgently to explore the issue and to ensure it is corrected before the main tourism season in only a matter of weeks.
